Play a key part in securing Bulk’s position in the Nordic energy landscape
The position as Director of Power will be located in Business Development within Data Centers and Fiber. Bulk Data Centers is a leading owner, operator and developer of data centers in the Nordics. Our goal is to empower customers to transition from traditional digital infrastructure platforms to a sustainable, scalable, and cost-effective solution.
Our green-powered data center locations offer power resiliency, scalability, and flexibility, allowing businesses to achieve their strategic objectives such as reducing carbon footprint and scaling operations from small to large capacities. We make it easy for you to connect to many markets by partnering with Tier 1 connectivity providers and cloud partners.

We have a solid platform for growth and scale:
- Total of 400 MW available and reserved power at our N01 Datacenter Campus in Vennesla, Norway
- We are currently building Norway's largest standalone data center
- We have built over 10,000 km of dark fiber
- We hold ownership in 9 separate fiber routes between the Nordics, Western Europe and North America
- We have a strong commitment from our owners – including raising NOK 4 billion in equity before the summer

The Position: Director of Power
As Director of Power, you will be at the forefront of an exciting and critical function in Bulk’s growth strategy. This role provides the opportunity to work with all facets of energy infrastructure in an organization committed to sustainable innovation. You’ll join a forward-thinking team in a high-growth industry, where your expertise will shape our future in the Nordic and global markets.
Some of your main areas of responsibility will include:
- Lead and own all power-related projects, ensuring Bulk’s data centers have reliable access to energy resources. This includes overseeing application processes, understanding network expansion plans, and managing power supply reservations.
- Build and maintain relationships with key players and power suppliers to secure Bulk’s position in the Nordic energy landscape.
- Act as Bulk’s in-house expert on power pricing and energy market trends, ensuring we stay competitive and market-oriented in pricing strategies.
- Explore innovative approaches to energy sourcing, including partnerships or potential ventures into renewable energy production.
- Represent Bulk at industry events, conferences, and networking gatherings to strengthen our influence within the energy sector.
- Collaborate closely with multiple parts of the organization, including subject matter experts and management, ensuring alignment across all levels of the company.
Who We Are Looking For
To excel in this role, you should have a strong technical foundation coupled with strategic insight and the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels. We also believe you have:
- Minimum 7 years in a relevant role, ideally with exposure to high-voltage systems, energy infrastructure, or large-scale energy projects.
- A proven ability to lead and resolve complex strategic projects, ideally with exposure to energy or power-related fields.
- A technical background, preferably in electrical power engineering or a related field, though extensive relevant experience can also compensate for formal education.
- A broad network within the power sector and fluency in the technical and commercial aspects of the industry.
- Strong proficiency in Norwegian and English, both written and verbal.
Advantageous Experience
- Familiarity with high-voltage power, network planning, and grid analysis.
- Background from consulting, network operators, or energy suppliers.
- Hands-on experience with the Norwegian power market and regulatory environment.
