Jefferson Wells is looking for an experienced Electrical System High Voltage Engineer to join our client on a large EPC offshore topside and electrification project. The ideal candidate will have significant experience with offshore electrification projects and will contribute to the design, specification, and execution of complex electrical systems for a major greenfield and integration project.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be responsible for the design and specification of electrical systems for various project phases, including study, FEED, and detailed engineering.
Your key tasks will include:
- Designing and specifying electrical systems, focusing on land cables, subsea cables, high-voltage equipment in onshore and offshore substations, and grid connections for offshore platforms.
- Managing the Main Power Supply Package, ensuring that technical and functional requirements for high and low voltage systems comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and project requirements.
- Overseeing the development and execution of the Electrical System Infrastructure (ESI) package, covering detailed engineering, fabrication, installation, and hand-over to operations.
- Developing electrical philosophies, strategies, single line diagrams, load lists, and system descriptions, ensuring that they align with project requirements.
- Following up on electrical system calculations, analyses, and assessments to guarantee the safe and efficient operation of the electrical infrastructure.
Background and Qualifications:
You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and have completed FSE and Ex courses. With at least 10 years of experience in electrical engineering, particularly on Norwegian continental shelf projects, you have a strong background in electrical system analysis and offshore electrification. You are well-versed in standards such as NORSOK, ATEX, PTIL, ISO, DNV, and IEC.
You communicate fluently in English, both in writing and speaking, and are known for your ability to collaborate effectively in a multicultural team. You work systematically and independently, delivering high-quality results while meeting deadlines. Your proactive approach ensures that you contribute to the team by sharing knowledge and seeking solutions when needed.
