UX Lead

Our head office is in Lysaker, Norway, and the other large offices are in the US, India, Bulgaria, and Denmark. Our team includes subject matter experts in software development, visualization, data analytics, machine learning, simulation, and autonomous operations.

Kongsberg Digital has experienced real commercial traction across the leading digital positions within maritime, energy, and renewables and is ambitious to grow from 1 BNOK to 3 BNOK in SaaS revenue over the next three years.

Kongsberg Digital is now embarking on its next evolution of product offering, which will require the merging of our key product offerings.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Head of UX on the UX strategy and the implementation of its vision, aligning it with business objectives and user needs

• Develop and support various UX maturity improvement initiatives

• Promote user-centered design principles within product teams and Kongsberg Digital in general

• Work closely with product managers, developers and other stakeholders to integrate UX into the product development process

• Develop product visions, design principles, personas, user flows, wireframes and prototypes to ensure high quality UX deliverables

• Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions and improve product usability

• Analyse user feedback and data to continuously enhance the user experience

• Mentor a small team of UX designers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment

• Keep up-to-date with industry trends, technologies and best practices and apply these to your work

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years in UX design with at least 2 years in a leadership role, preferably in the heavy asset industry

• High level of proficiency in Figma

• Strong leadership and team skills

• Ability to understand complex technical systems and translate them into highly usable interfaces

• Excellent communication and presentation abilities

• Deep understanding of user-centered design principles and experience with user research methods

• High level of competency in English

• Familiarity with front-end development technologies is a plus

• Familiarity with other design tools such as Sketch or Adobe XD is a plus
