Operations Manager - 44.01

About the role:

44.01 is expanding its carbon removal business to other territories and is looking for its first hire in Norway to assist with operations and business development. The Operations Manager will have a strong focus on setting up our operations in Norway, business development, and stakeholder relationship management. The ideal candidate will have a sharp business mind, proven record of operational management, and ideally a technical background in mechanical, chemical, petroleum engineering and/or geoengineering.   

What you’ll do:

• Assist setting up 44.01’s office in Norway and lead its operation
• Research and identify new business opportunities, including new projects, customers and partnerships
• Lead on and support business development including bid-writing for new grants and contracts 
• Foster and develop relationships with stakeholders, customers, clients and partners (e.g. Equinox, Nysno, government institutions, universities, service providers etc)
• Understand the needs of stakeholders, customers, clients and partners, and be able to respond effectively 
• Have a good understanding of 44.01’s carbon removal business and its technology 
• Participate in the day-to-day operation and execution of the company’s strategy
