We are looking for an ambitious and driven Financial Controller to undertake and supervise all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures.

The role will play a key part in the organization and will work closely with the CEO, COO and other senior managers. 

The company has established accounting and reporting processes, and is looking for someone who is willing to challenge and build on these to further improve the finance environment.

Our new Finance Controller will manage accounting teams in the US, UK, Germany and Norway.

In this role, you will:

• Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition
• Create organization’s budgets and forecasts, and to report back on the progress against these throughout the year
• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
• Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
• Research technical accounting issues for compliance
• Support month-end and year-end close process
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Execution of and reporting of investment and owner related matters, such as management of General Assembly, information to shareholders and issuing of new shares
• Credit and collections policies for the company’s customers, to ensure the organization is paid on time, and that there is a payment policy for the company’s suppliers. 
• Provide information to assist managers in making key strategic decisions
• In cooperation with accounting, create requirements for, procure, implement and maintain specialist systems related to finance.
• Create, document, implement, communicate and enforce company procedures related to finance and accounting.
• Additional controller duties as necessary

We believe our next Finance Controller has:

• Experience with accounting, auditing or controlling- as well as a degree in relevant field
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
• Experience with creating financial statements
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
• Excellent accounting software user and administration skill
• Excellent communication skills, and speaks/ writes fluently in both Norwegian and English
