Main objectives
- Maximise commercial performance while managing business/project risk (pre and post-contract)
- Commercialisation of service offerings to support business growth and strategy
- Ensure compliance with relevant commercial/contracting policies
- Resolution of disputes/claims and cash collection issues
- Embedding effective commercial governance and assurance across the Projects / Portfolio of Projects
Main tasks
- Champion and promote the application of the Financial Management Framework guidelines
- Champion and follow the relevant DOA and commercial / contracting policies
- Compliance with Woods commercial policies, processes, and procedures (tender governance, financial instruments, contracting policy, etc.)
- Development, implementation, and maintenance of project commercial handover/plans including commercial strategy, subcontracting commercial strategy, and profit improvement plans
- Regular project cost analysis/reviews to maximize recoverable costs, minimize disallowable costs, and ensures adequate cost accruals and provisions are in place
- Drive margin improvement initiatives
- Drive cash improvement initiatives
- Functionally responsible for oversight and management of commercial personnel
- Accountable for governance and assurance of commercial policies and processes, and commercial delivery on tenders/projects
Knowledge, skills and experience
- 8-12 years experience in a similar role with 4+ years of leadership/management experience
- Proven experience in contract administration
- Experience in contract negotiations
- Experience in claims & dispute resolution (pre and post-litigation experience preferred

We are a multidisciplinary company with expertise covering all phases of a project lifecycle from early phase to completion, including procurement and project management. Wood in Norway is headquartered in Sandefjord, but we also have offices in Oslo, Stavanger, Bergen and Herøya and employ around 700 people.
Wood carries out engineering of new construction and modification projects onshore, offshore and subsea, both within the oil and gas sector, process industry, but also for floating units, fixed installations and ships. In addition, we supply modifications, repairs and operational support for installations in operation.
We can take on various projects, from only engineering to full EPCIC deliveries which also include project management, procurement, construction, installation, hook-up and start-up/ commissioning.
