Data Scientist - Contribute to Maritime Data-Driven Innovation at Dipai!

About Dipai:

Established in 2020, Dipai is an innovative Norwegian maritime software company that originated from Ph.D. research at NTNU in Ålesund. Dipai is on a mission to deliver a new data analytics standard in the maritime industry, providing actionable insights for enhanced operational knowledge and improved decision-making powered by vessel sensor data. With Dipai Digital Fleet Platform already in use by industry leaders such as DOF, Solstad, and Sølvtrans, we are growing fast and looking for a talented backend developer to contribute and take part in our journey.

Your Role:

As a Data Scientist, you will play a key role in R&D, deliveries, and customer success. We have multiple innovative customers motivated to push the limits for several use-cases within data-driven decision-making using vessel sensor data. When ideas are created internally and externally, you will be assigned to perform a proof-of-concept analysis of the use-case, and you will also participate in presenting the analysis to our customers for feedback. When a proof-of-concept analysis is successful, it will be your role to write overall specifications to our software development department to integrate the use-case into the Dipai Digital Fleet Platform.

We also see you as a creative resource, bringing your own ideas to our team as well as our customer success meetings. You will be surrounded by like-minded individuals, as several members of the Dipai team have backgrounds in data science, spanning from management to software development roles. As part of a team of 9 people, you will receive significant responsibility and influence on structure and development.

We Are Looking for Someone Who:

• Are motivated and passionate about the role description.
• Understands and engages with our tech stack and software values.
• Upholds our company values adaptability, reliability, and passion.
• Has a master’s or PhD degree in a relevant field.
• Has 3+ years of relevant experience in data science.
• Possesses experience and knowledge in the maritime industry.
• Understands the Norwegian language or is in the process of learning it, as well as having good communication skills. 
• Demonstrates a passion for and exceptional skills in AI and machine learning.
