Role Overview

We’re seeking a talented and motivated Front-End Developer to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in building user-centric, visually appealing, and responsive web interfaces. You'll collaborate closely with key people in our organisation to bring ideas to life and ensure seamless user experiences. Our IT team are small, ambitious and with good work environment. International working environment with English as the work language.

Work location is our office in Oslo where we are planning to move to a new office in Q2 2025. However we are open for application from candidates that prefer to be based in one of our office in Trondheim, Lillehammer, Bergen in Norway or Brussels.

Key Responsibilities

• JavaScript Development: Implement object-oriented programming, manage promises, and handle asynchronous operations (e.g., AJAX calls).
• HTML & CSS Expertise: Build and style web interfaces, manipulate the DOM, manage layouts, and utilize libraries like D3.js.
• React Framework: Develop with React basics, leverage the virtual DOM, manage application state, and create reusable components for scalable solutions
• User-Centric Design: Focus on implement intuitive, user-friendly interfaces that enhance the overall experience.
• Optimize application performance for speed and scalability.
• Maintain and improve existing web applications and features.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues in production and development environments.

• 4 years + work experience and relevant qualifications
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+) and React (with state manager).
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and JSON data.
• Strong understanding of responsive design and web accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG).
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Familiarity with browser testing and debugging tools.

• Familiarity with build tools (e.g., Webpack, Vite, or Parcel).
• Knowledge of cloud computing, backend development in Python, dev-ops with gitlab pipelines, docker (images and containers creation) is a plus.
• Familiarity with design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
• A portfolio showcasing past projects or contributions to open-source initiatives.
