Duties and responsibilities
- Prepare documentation: Block diagrams, Layout drawings, cable routing, wiring diagram, cable schedule, instrument list, MTOs, SCDs, logic diagram, block diagrams, Cause & effect, IO/signal list, HMI mark-up.
- Establish and design control and shut-down control philosophy and logic.
- Be able to prepare technical specification for modification of platform control system and vendor follow-up. (ESD, PSD, PCS, F&G)
- Prepare Instrument specifications and follow-up of equipment deliveries (sub-contractors)
- Ensure that documentation is in accordance with guidelines and requirements
- Quality check of discipline deliverable
- Preparation of Study reports
- Participate in design, constructability, and safety reviews
- Prepare documentation and procedures for prefabrication and installation
- Perform Offshore field survey, and participate in FAT and offshore testing if required
- Coordination of deliverable with other disciplines and suppliers (project dependencies)
- Assist project management with project plan and cost estimates
- Comply with the company's HSE guidelines and QA objectives
- Contribute with technical solution to reduce CO2 footprints and how to utilize standard solutions.
Qualifications
- Min. 3-5 years experience as Instrument Engineer
- Formal higher education degree within Engineering
- Familiar with prevailing regulations (E.g. Norsok, ATEX, IEC, etc.)
- Experience and knowledge of industry standard communication protocols and principles for field instrumentation (Flow, Level, Fire & Gas detection, etc.)
- Preferable experience with SAP, ProArc, STID and IFS
- Experience from maintenance and modification projects in Oil and Gas industry is preferred.
- Experience from a control system vendor is preferred. Design, developing, and programming of control system logic.
- Experience within Field Instrumentation is a plus.
