Your Role

As Head of Group Accounting, you will play a vital role in ensuring the financial health and compliance of our growing international group. Your key responsibilities include:

• • Group Consolidation: Preparing and consolidating financial accounts for the entire group.
  • Statutory Accounts: Producing statutory financial statements for our Norwegian entities.
  • Group Policies: Developing, maintaining, and ensuring adherence to group-wide accounting policies across all companies.
  • Intercompany Transactions: Monitoring and reconciling intercompany transactions, ensuring compliance with group policies, and following up on intercompany loan agreements.
  • Financial Controlling: Conducting thorough financial analysis and reviews to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collaboration Across Teams: Working closely with accounting teams in international subsidiaries to ensure alignment with group policies and consistent financial practices.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Acting as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, consultants, and senior leadership, to provide insights and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Integration of New Companies: Supporting the financial onboarding and integration of newly acquired companies.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations and assisting with internal and external audits.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented accounting professional who thrives in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will have:

Qualifications:

• • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in audit, group accounting, or a similar role.

Experience:

• • Proven expertise in group accounting and consolidation.
  • Experience working with international companies, ideally in a fast-paced environment.

Skills:

• • Strong knowledge of IFRS and local Norwegian GAAP.
  • A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset, with excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with ERP systems and consolidation tools. 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across international teams and build relationships with key stakeholders.
