Saipem Ltd are Saipemâ s global ROV Support Function. We specialize in all aspects of ROV Operations, including Drill Support, Construction, IRM, Survey, Pip/Cable Lay and Decommissioning. Due to increase of activities on the Norwegian Continental Shelf, Saipem Ltd Norway branch is looking for a ROV Project Manager located in Stavanger, to ensure the governance of projects and initiatives in terms of organizational, financial, technological and contractual aspects.
The position is reporting to Saipem Ltd ROV Operations manager.
The successful incumbent will be responsible for:
- Administer ROV contracts ensuring that services provided meet Saipem and Client requirements.
- Review personnel crew levels to ensure that the necessary number of qualified crews are available and assigned for each level.
- Approve purchases to ensure that ROV Systems have the required equipment and tools to complete projects.
- Ensure all Company safety and quality assurance procedures and standards are followed.
- Co-ordinate movement of capital to work sites per project requirements.
- Maintain standards of equipment and procedures for ROV systems.
- Set up and maintain lines of communication, not limited to supervisor reports, maintenance logs, failure reports, daily time and dive sheets.
- Plan, track and maintain ROV personnel training.
- Oversee workshop activities, including personnel work assignment and asset allocation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- To become familiar with and to maintain awareness of Saipemâ s current requirements and where applicable, the latest Industry Codes and Standards including statutory rules and regulations.
- To ensure that all activities are carried out in a manner consistent with Saipemâ s policy on health, safety, quality and environmental matters in accordance with Saipem specific procedures.
- To ensure his/ her own safety and that of others is not compromised or placed at risk.
- Ensure the governance of projects and initiatives in terms of organizational, financial, technological and contractual aspects, assuring the achievement of the established objectives
- Plan, coordinate and control the execution of the projects, in accordance with the Client requirements, within time and cost constraints and in compliance with HSE and Quality procedures.
We are looking for candidates with the following background:
- University, College or Industry education and/or training in Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic disciplines.
- Previous offshore experience with ROV operations with some of this experience in a supervisory role
- Previous onshore experience in a co-ordination role, ideally with drilling rigs and pipelay vessels
- Previous experience of specifying, selecting and ordering mechanical, hydraulic or electrical equipment for offshore use
Other requirements:
- Strong interest in new/developing Technology within the ROV industry/section
- Knowledge and conversant with ROV â Norwegian /NORSOK regulations are beneficial
- Good communication and interpersonal / people management skills
- Proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications
- Fluent in Norwegian and English, written and orally
