Overview
The role is centred around operational and transactional People activities within Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Malta. You will work closely with local management to ensure People processes are executed smoothly, employee relations are managed effectively, and compliance is maintained. The People partner oversees the People function of day-to-day People operations.
You thrive on leading people operations across multiple regions, as the role supports the implementation of company-wide People initiatives at the local level. This role is reporting to Senior Manager, EMEA People Partner, and located at our Lysaker office.
Responsibilities
- Drive day-to-day People operations within the area, ensuring effective delivery of People services.
- Provide guidance and support to local management on People-related matters, ensuring alignment with company policies and local regulations.
- Oversee local employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance management.
- Ensure compliance with local employment laws and regulations, updating policies and practices as needed.
- Collaborate with the global People team and assist in the execution of global People initiatives. Adapt initiatives to meet local needs, and align local practices with overall company objectives.
- Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth integration into the company.
- Manage employee data and records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Support local management in the development and implementation of employee engagement activities.
- Ensure that payroll and benefits administration is conducted accurately and in a timely manner.
- Provide regular reports and updates to regional and global People teams.
- Oversee Safety, Employee Hotline, and Emergency management, as well as Global Corporate Social Sustainability.
- Collaborate with Corporate Communications on Employee Relations stories.
Required knowledge, skills, abilities and education
- A seasoned HR leader with at least 8 years of experience in progressive roles, and experienced in operational HR aligned with overall People strategy.
- Experience in managing People functions within a single country or area. Experience across Nordic countries is advantegous.
- Solid understanding of local employment laws and regulations, and the ability to familiarize with various frameworks across countries.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive professional capable of managing complex tasks with discretion and efficiency.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Minimum a bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field.
