That feeling when no two days at work are the same!
As our new Customer Care Manager, using your technical education and commercial sense, you grow the sales of Service Business Products like Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) and spare parts. Visiting food producers that use Marel equipment in Central and Southern Norway, you convince them to use our services, process knowledge and parts, improving the performance and reliability of their processes and systems.
You spot opportunities, propose solutions that add value to the customer, and close the deal. With your commercial sense, you enjoy to sell value (e.g. Total Cost of Ownership, improved machine performance, higher throughput, and quality) in a competitive market.
Your day-to-day will look a lot like this:
- Visiting customers and prospects, both on site and remotely, identifying opportunities for sales of Service Business Products and parts. This includes arranging, preparing, and reporting these visits;
- Independent handling of the entire sales process including offering solutions matching your customer’s needs;
- Cooperate with Service Area Managers (for regional and industrial information), Service Engineers (your eyes at the customer), and Account Managers (who sell new equipment).
Since this is a commercial role, we measure your performance by the amount of visits you do, volume of created opportunities, and your hit rate.

In order to be successful in this challenging role, we are looking for the following in your profile:
- Education in technical area (eg Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronical Engineering) or in Business Engineering.
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a technical environment, preferably at a manufacturer of capital equipment, with experience in sales of services or capital goods.
- Understanding of the food processing industry is an advantage
- Comfortable speaker in Norwegian and English.
- Independent worker, able to schedule your own tasks and week planning.
- Willing to travel extensively (up to 80% of your time)
