We Are Hiring! Sales & Marketing Manager
Open Position: Sales & Marketing Manager at Lofoten Seaweed
Are you looking for more than just another job? Do you dream of an office where you can see mountains from the window, and your work makes a genuine impact? If so, we’ve got something special for you.
We’re hiring a Sales & Marketing Manager to join the Lofoten Seaweed family. This is your chance to live and work in one of the most breathtaking locations on earth, while being part of a company that’s changing the way people think about food, sustainability, and – most importantly – seaweed.
What’s the Job About?
You’ll be the engine behind our growing brand, ensuring everything from social media buzz to customer relations runs smoothly. Your tasks will vary from updating our website content (hello, tech-savvy side!) to engaging with journalists, sending newsletters, editing videos for social media, and pitching our award-winning products to new and existing customers. Some days, you might even find yourself in the Arctic Ocean harvesting seaweed! Sound like your kind of adventure?
Your Day-to-Day Might Look Like This:
- Creating engaging content for social media (we love reels!) and writing blogs that make people fall in love with seaweed.
- Following up on sales leads - whether it's an email, a phone call, or even dropping by a local business to say hello!
- Planning digital marketing campaigns and newsletters that resonate with our subscribers and generate sales.
- Managing inquiries – you’ll be the first point of contact for customer questions and feedback, B2B enquiries, PR requests, and more.
- Keeping our website up-to-date and optimised (no broken links on your watch!).
- Occasionally, rolling up your sleeves and covering the shop or representing us at local food fairs and exhibitions (a great way to explore northern Norway and beyond!)
Why You’ll Love It Here
Not completely convinced? We’re confident these perks will win you over:
- Location: Napp, Lofoten.
- Salary: Competitive, D.O.A.
- Time to recharge: 25 days of annual leave (plus Norwegian public holidays, of course).
- Flexibility: A hybrid work model that lets you balance home and office life.
- Purpose-driven work: You’ll be part of a fast-growing company with strong environmental ethics, championing positive change in Norway’s culinary traditions.
- A life that matters: This isn’t just a job - it’s a lifestyle that connects you to the ocean, the land, and a community that values sustainable innovation.
- Making waves: Lofoten Seaweed is Norway’s best-known seaweed company, and one of its fastest-growing independent brands. We are a small company about to enter a key growth period, which will offer a chance to shape this role to your skillset and ambitions.
Who Are We Looking For?
- An all-rounder with a can-do attitude. (Never done it before? Let’s figure out a way!)
- Someone who’s organised, detail-oriented, and not afraid to wear a few different hats.
- An energetic and motivated salesperson who can help us grow our business.
- Experience with these programs is a plus: Canva, Adobe Illustrator, WordPress, Microsoft 365, Ortto (or Mailchimp).
- You’ve got an eye for design, a knack for writing, and a natural curiosity for learning new things (like fixing IT hiccups or figuring out the latest SEO trends).
- If you’re already interested in seaweed, the ocean, and the climate – great! If not, don’t worry. We’ll teach you everything you need to know.
- Language: English and Norwegian preferred.

Om arbeidsgiveren
Lofoten Seaweed was established in 2016, and is built on the heritage of two different cultures – Northern Norway meets Japan. Angelita is a fisherman’s daughter who spent her childhood cutting cod tongues and baiting long lines in the fishing village of Napp. Living off the sea was a lifestyle and a lifeline for her family. Her curiosity around seaweed came later, when she was researching seaweed for her own health. Best friend and co-founder, Tamara, grew up in New Zealand where her Japanese mother served seaweed for almost every meal. When she moved to Norway, she brought her ancestral knowledge of seaweed as a food product. She is a food enthusiast and loves pure food and clean flavours. Her knowledge and experience are the foundation of our quality assurance and product development.
The combination of experience and techniques from opposite sides of the planet (plus a little bit of madness) is at the heart of what makes Lofoten Seaweed unique. We create and market innovative seaweed products that make it exciting to cook with seaweed, for home cooks, pro chefs, and everyone in between.
We are proud to be a female-led business, and are committed to using our business to drive positive effects in the community.
