Department manager, DP Application software

Looking for an exciting career opportunity? We are seeking a Department Manager for our DP Application Software department within Vessel Systems.

Our dynamic team provides software resources for dynamic position (DP), thruster control, integrated bridge system, simulation studies and more, to support all divisions in Kongsberg Maritime. Our young and highly skilled engineers thrive in a fast-paced, hectic environment with travelling world-wide for project related work.

What you will do

As the Department Manager of DP Application software, you will have a wide range of exciting responsibilities. You will be in charge of managing department budget, financial statements, plans and strategies, as well as personnel. You will lead a team manager, global planning manager and engineers in your department.

You will also play a key role in further developing effective routines and processes for the department, ensuring that we have the required capability, capacity, and competence both in the short and long term. You will have the opportunity to contribute to our management team, support partners in KM project network, and collaborate with other departments within the company. You will have marine operation responsibility with-in our segment for own department and our sister departments world-wide.

Who are you?

If you have general knowledge of Kongsberg Maritime, products, systems, and applications, thats a plus. Experience as manager and bachelors or masters degree in engineering is needed. Fluency in both written and spoken English and Norwegian is required as we work with partners all over the world. We're looking for someone who has a strong focus on fulfilling customer needs and expectations, as we take pride in delivering top-notch service to our clients.

We are seeking someone with a positive attitude who can work well with others in a fast-paced environment. Attention to details and good organizational skills are important to maintain high-quality work. The ability to think clearly in a hectic environment is crucial - as is self-motivation and good communication skills.
