Do you have a few years of experience in geotechnical, structural, marine, or mechanical engineering? Or do you bring experience from the wind installation sector, technical consultancy, or maritime industries? We’re looking for passionate candidates with bachelor’s or master’s degrees ready to make an impact in offshore wind projects.
What we are looking for:
Someone who is passionate about renewable energy. We believe the successful candidate is motivated to:
- Execute offshore installation projects for global wind clients
- Work hands-on to turn theory into practice, making critical project decisions
- Collaborate with vessel crews, clients, turbine suppliers, and subcontractors
- Travel for site operations, mobilizations, and industry events
- Join a team of 20 engineers pushing boundaries in offshore installation methods.

In this position you can expect to:
Work with a variety of tasks related to engineering and maritime, which include:
- Vessel stability and motion analysis
- Geotechnical and seabed assessments
- Structural design for vessels and seafastening
- Planning and executing marine operations, lifting, and mobilizations
- Developing procedures and risk assessments for safe operations
- Supporting tenders, subcontractor management, and concept development
- Collaborating on vessel upgrades and modifications
Fred. Olsen Windcarrier operates three purpose-built jack-up vessels; Bold Tern, Brave Tern and Blue Tern. The vessels are specially designed to meet the offshore wind industry’s high operation and safety standards – but they can also support other offshore heavy lifting operations.
