We are looking for a strategic CFO that will play a crucial role in scaling Cemonite

On behalf of Cemonite AS, we are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join the executive team in Stavanger. The CFO will play a crucial role in scaling the Company’s business and shaping the financial strategy, managing risk, and ensuring financial stability. You will work closely with the CEO and the executive team to align financial operations with the Company’s mission and vision for sustainability and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

    Financial Strategy & Leadership:

• Drive strategic financial planning and execution in cooperation with the CEO, Management Team and Board of Directors
• Develop and implement financial strategies to support growth and operational efficiency
• Oversee financial operations, providing strategic direction and leadership
• Build and lead a high-performing finance team promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement and providing mentorship and development opportunities
• Cross-Functional Collaboration with other departments to support overall business objectives

    Fundraising & Investor Relations:

• Lead fundraising efforts, including securing investments and managing investor relations
• Participate in soft funding applications

    Financial Operations, planning & Reporting:

• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with relevant regulations and best practices
• Develop key financial metrics and KPIs to track performance and ensure financial health
• Responsible for the preparation and management of annual budgets, forecasts and financial models to support business planning and decision-making
• Oversee accounting and audit processes. Engage with external accountants to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
• Oversee tax planning and compliance to optimize financial performance

Experience & Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in finance or similar field
• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience from a similar role in a startup or fast-growing company, Venture/Private Equity, investment banking, or management consulting
• Proven experience with fundraising, investor relations, and managing external stakeholders
• Strong background in financial strategy, planning, and operations and proficient in financial modelling and forecasting
• Solid understanding of financial regulations, tax planning and compliance
• Experience with ERP systems and reporting tools (Tripletex)
• Fluent in Norwegian and English languages both oral and written
