We are seeking a proactive and business-oriented Group Legal Counsel to join our team as we continue to leverage the potential of the digital landscape. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in advising our organization on legal matters related to technology, artificial intelligence, data protection, and privacy. This position requires solid understanding of GDPR, as well as the ability to provide hands on advice while navigating within the legal landscape of the tech industry.

Job responsibilities:

• Provide legal advice and guidance to the organization on a wide range of legal areas, such as contract law, technology, artificial intelligence, marketing and consumer law, GDPR, cyber security, risk & compliance, and other business matters.
• Support and drive Sector Alarm's efforts to ensure compliance with GDPR and other regulatory requirements.
• Support Sector Alarm's technology development processes, including product and feature development, Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, and general technological business aspects. This involves close collaboration with the Products-, Technology-, and Cyber Security departments.
• Participate in and contribute to RFP/tender processes, contract negotiations, and vendor management with suppliers, partners, and consultants.
• Conduct training on key legal aspects of the above.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a legal professional
• Master of Law degree, with strong academic results
• Formal qualification as a lawyer
• Background in technology, GDPR, IT contracts and business law is an advantage
• Strong interest in new systems, AI, technology, and GDPR
• Fluent in written and spoken English is a must
• Ability to manage daily tasks independently with flexibility
