Data Engineer – Empowering Energy Insights with Data Solutions

Our clients, primarily based in the Nordics and across Europe, include power generators, grid operators, electricity suppliers, government agencies, industry organizations, and investors.

We are seeking a skilled professional or recent graduate with a strong focus on data management and engineering to join our team and contribute to our market analysis efforts.

The successful candidate will contribute to several data-related activities within THEMA, which may include:

• Designing and Building THEMA’s Data Architecture: Assist in creating and enhancing THEMA’s next-generation data architecture.

• Power Market Analysis: Support the development of THEMA’s power market model and perform comprehensive market analysis to deliver actionable insights.

• Software Development: Contribute to Python-based software development, including creating custom analysis tools tailored to specific needs.

• Client-Focused Data Consultancy: Support clients in data-related consultancy projects.

• API Integration and Utilization: Leverage APIs to streamline processes and enhance the accessibility of data for internal and client-facing applications.

• Cloud and Business Intelligence Tools: Utilize cloud platforms for data storage and processing and deliver compelling visualizations using tools like Power BI or custom made.

We are looking for candidates who:

• Hold a master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, mathematics, statistics, or a related field.

• Have 0–2 years of experience in software development, data science, data engineering, quantitative analysis, or similar fields.

• Possess strong programming skills (with proficiency in Python as a minimum) and a solid understanding of database and cloud technologies (preferably Azure).

• Demonstrate the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret complex quantitative data and provide actionable insights.

• Excel in teamwork, collaborating effectively with colleagues and clients to achieve shared goals.
