Dear Santa, We need some React magic!

Dear Santa,

We’ve tried our hardest to be good this year, can we pretty please ask for something extra special for Christmas? We really really want a Senior React Software Engineer!

MazeMap is like Rudolph for people—it helps over 3 million people globally every month find their way through tricky places like big schools, hospitals, and office buildings. The same way he helps you navigate the world to get people their presents on time, we do this indoors to help people find what they are looking for by delivering indoor mapping services! We started in Trondheim in 2013, growing from a start-up into a global scale-up with people in 10 countries and 21 different nationalities! Even with less than 60 people, we have managed to become a global market leader in the university sector. In 2015 we won the European Satellite Navigation Competition (ESNC). In 2016 we were named as one of the top 25 IoT providers by CIO Application Magazine. The same magazine also named us as one of the top 10 API-providers in 2018. We think what we have achieved so far is amazing, don’t you?

Our Wishlist

We’d love to meet someone who:

• Eyes light up about React the same way we look when we see presents under the tree on Christmas morning
• Has ideally 10 years of experience in frontend development, also ideally been working with React professionally for the last 5 years
• Is always curious about new technologies, and excited to share their knowledge with others
• Has strong skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Is a great communicator (we’ve got a diverse team, so English skills are a must)
• Can help us shape and improve our frontend architecture while being the go-to technical leader for anything frontend and React

Bonus points if they love collaboration, enjoy code reviews, and want to help grow our engineering culture. We also hope they’re pragmatic, analytical, and love building things that actually make people’s lives easier—just like us! This position is quite special to us, so we would like this person to be in Trondheim.
