Job description

As our new Lead Data Architect you will take a leading role in our transition towards a fully data-driven organization, both from a technical and a strategic perspective.

You will be a part of the Tech organization that has the overall responsibility of all charging infrastructure software systems, public cloud platforms and IT systems. We are growing as a team and everyone joining the team will contribute to multiple areas and is expected to be able to work independently and in collaboration with the rest of the team. 

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain the technical roadmap for the data domain, aligning with business goals and objectives. 
• Design, build and maintain among other things ETL processes, services and data schemas.
• Work with other technical architects to define and implement a coherent data architecture.
• Take ownership of the common data model and be a key figure in the data governance group.
• Build a deep technical understanding of the data warehouse and related data stores.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and frameworks that enhance system capabilities. 
• Contribute to the development of Recharge's overall system architecture including our Public Cloud platform.
• Prioritize, in collaboration with the team and the stakeholders, system enhancements and new features based on business impact and feasibility. 
• Implement performance tuning and optimization strategies as needed. 
• Ensure systems are robust, scalable and complies with relevant regulations, industry standards, and security best practices.

Success factors

• Higher Education in a relevant field.
• Experience with integrations between systems.
• Deep understanding of at least one SQL database system.
• Proficiency with at least one of Python or C#.
• Enjoy having end-to-end responsibility and being highly self-driven.
• Experience of software development, familiarity with Azure is an advantage.
• Experience working data warehousing solutions like Snowflake is an advantage.
• Ability to communicate efficiently with the rest of the business to understand the needs of the internal and external stakeholders.
• Informal leadership skills are beneficial.
• Experience from an international working environment. 
• Excellent English proficiency and one of the Scandinavian languages is preferred.

We believe that the right candidate has a genuine interest in the green shift and is either already driving an EV or is very interested in doing so in the near future. We think you have an Engineering background as a software/data engineer or similar, who has taken more complete ownership of their domain in previous roles.

Place of work: at our HQ in Moss or office in central Oslo. Some traveling will be required, primarily within the Nordic region. This role reports to the Chief Technology Officer.
