About the Role:
Odfjell Oceanwind is looking for a Document Control Manager to help us reach our goal of being the world's leading provider of floating offshore wind solutions.
Odfjell Oceanwind is perfectly placed to move into the next phase of our company's development. Now that our first floating offshore wind projects are being accelerated together with our partners, Odfjell Oceanwind needs to strengthen its team.
As the Document Control Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the entire document control function across all business areas within our floating offshore wind services. You will ensure the effective operation of document management systems throughout the lifecycle of projects, contributing to compliance, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
The successful candidate must have the following:
Key Responsibilities:
-Lead the technical document control system (primarily 'Oracle Aconex'), ensuring its optimal functionality and integration across all business operations.
-Develop strategies, objectives, and governing processes to position the company as a leader within the offshore wind industry.
-Ensure all technical documentation meets industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal specifications.
-Perform regular audits and quality checks to detect and resolve any discrepancies, inconsistencies, or outdated information, ensuring documentation integrity.
-Track and report on the performance of document control processes, providing data-driven insights and recommendations to boost productivity and operational efficiency.
-Develop solutions for interface and integration with other systems/data bases both internally and externally.
-Drive the ongoing development and improvement of the company's management document system, aligning document control practices with evolving business needs and regulatory changes.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in information technology, project management, or other technical fields.
-Proven experience of at least 5 years in technical documentation management, preferably within the renewable energy or offshore/maritime sector.
-Familiarity with industry-specific document control processes, e.g., engineering drawings, vendor data, and project documentation.
-Proficiency in document management systems and collaboration tools, with a strong understanding of document control principles and practices.
-Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
-Strong communication and training skills, capable of educating a diverse team on technical systems
-Ability to challenge and improve existing methodologies
-Positive attitude, finds solutions to challenges rather than challenges to solutions
-Outstanding communication skills in both Norwegian and English (oral and written)

The position is based in Bergen, but occasional attendance in Oslo or Stavanger is expected.
Preferred working location is Bergen, but working out of our Stavanger or Oslo offices can be discussed.
