Can you manage complex logistics?

Jefferson Wells is looking for a skilled Senior Logistics Coordinator on behalf of our customer. In this role, you will take on the responsibility for planning and executing onshore logistics activities related to the mobilization and demobilization of vessels. The position offers a dynamic work environment, with opportunities to travel to various bases along the Norwegian coastline during the offshore season. You will also manage transport plans for projects and handle trade compliance tasks, including import and export.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement project logistics and transport plans, ensuring adherence to customs procedures and regulations.
• Act as the main point of contact for procurement and logistics at mobilization and demobilization sites.
• Plan and coordinate quay side and crane lift operations, ensuring all equipment arrives with proper documentation.
• Monitor and arrange transport and shipping services for projects.
• Ensure safety, quality, and operational objectives are met during logistics operations.
• Oversee the return of equipment to its designated location upon demobilization.

Background and Qualifications:

Must Have:

• Minimum 3 years of higher education in engineering, logistics, procurement, or related fields (relevant experience may compensate for lack of education).
• At least 4 years of experience in international logistics, expediting, or ship agency, preferably within offshore projects.
• Strong knowledge of import/export procedures, Incoterms, and international trade regulations.
• Proven ability to take initiative and perform effectively in dynamic environments.
• Practical, hands-on approach with excellent multitasking and interpersonal skills.
• Strong planning skills, with the ability to oversee operational tasks during mobilization and demobilization.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with mobilization of subsea installation or construction vessels.
• Background in warehouse operations or freight forwarding.
• Familiarity with transport and logistics procurement, such as cranes or lifting equipment.
• Knowledge of engineering terminology.
• Proficiency in Norwegian.
