What you’ll do day to day:  

You will report to the lead on dual use innovation and the head of startup and will work alongside a dynamic team of experts in innovation and business development. This is a fast-paced, challenging and high-impact role central to positioning Norway as a global leader in Defence and dual-use innovation. Success in this role will include launching a high-performing incubator and accelerator programme, securing funding for innovation initiatives, and building a strong network of mentors and investors.  

• Lead on building Norway’s best dual use incubator and accelerator programme, including designing the curriculum, gaining stakeholder support and delivering the programme  
• Support the building of Norway’s national hub for dual use innovation by formalizing relationships with key incubators, universities, research organisations, corporates and government defence, security and innovation stakeholders   
• Support the building of mentor and dual use investor networks to drive the success of the incubator and accelerator 
• Build and maintain relationships and innovation projects with international stakeholders 
• Support the development of the Nordic dual use innovation initiative  
• Identify and apply for both national and international funding opportunities   
• Support other dual use initiatives as needed   

Who we’re looking for:  

• Previous experience designing or delivering accelerator programmes  
• A strong network across defence and/or innovation nationally or internationally 
• Teamplayer who is not afraid to get their hands dirty  
• Charismatic, friendly and able to easily build relationships with stakeholders  
• A solutions-oriented creative thinker  
• Proven track record of successfully leading delivery on complex projects involving many stakeholders  

Nice to have:  

• Experience in the Norwegian Defence ecosystem  
• Norwegian or Scandinavian language fluency  
• Entrepreneurship experience  
• Experience working internationally  
• Contacts and experience in military procurement agencies either nationally or internationally  
• Familiarity with innovation methodologies such as Lean Startup, Agile, or Design Thinking is a plus
