We are strengthening our great Offshore Survey Team and are looking for a Senior Geologist to join us!

As a Senior Geologist, you will be a member of the Offshore Survey Team and will participate in interpretation and reporting of all acoustic sensor data, side scan sonar and sub-bottom profiler. Together with a Senior Surveyor you will be responsible for preparing written reports, survey results from video review and acoustic data interpretation. 

Duties and Responsibilites

• Lead the Geo team offshore
• Familiar with applicable parts of DeepOcean HSEQ system and project specific procedures
• Familiar with all DeepOcean software packages for eventing/video review and for interpretation of acoustic data
• Initiatives to improve reporting efficiency and data quality
• Test and evaluate new software
• Prepare and Quality check required digital data deliveries
• Responsible for final reporting
• Familiarisation, training and mentoring of offshore Geos  

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor or Master degree in a geoscience subject
• Minimum 5 years relevant industry experience in a similar role
• Good understanding of Survey operations and deliverables
• Good working knowledge of Geo related softwares
