Project Engineer
We are currently seeking a dedicated Project Engineer to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead multidisciplinary projects from concept to completion, supporting our clients with reliable and innovative solutions in offshore and nearshore installations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead design development and manage project planning for nearshore and offshore cable installation projects, ensuring all design aspects align with client specifications and project objectives
- Conduct strength and stress analyses to confirm design integrity, adhering to industry standards and safety regulations
- Use advanced CAD to create precise, high-quality technical drawings and designs
- Manage project timelines, resources, and reports, ensuring that each project meets agreed-upon schedules and budgetary targets
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, providing leadership in project development and maintaining strong client relationships through regular communication
- Ensure adherence to all relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices, delivering high-quality project outcomes
- Willingness to travel internationally on short assignments, supporting projects across Seatrench’s diverse operational locations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; a Master’s degree is preferred. Relevant fields include Mechanical Engineering, Oil & Gas Engineering, Maritime Engineering, Naval Architecture, or Structural Engineering
- At least 10–15 years of proven experience in design and project engineering, with expertise in offshore or nearshore environments
- Proficiency in CAD software, with significant experience in SolidWorks or similar design tools
- Strong analytical skills in strength and stress analysis, with a comprehensive understanding of international industry standards and applicable codes
- Highly organized, with a demonstrated ability in project planning, scheduling, and time management using state-of-the-art software
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary environment, showing leadership and sound decision-making skills
- Fluent English language skills, both written and verbal, enabling clear communication with clients and team members
Preferred Skills:
- Detail-oriented with the ability to also grasp the larger scope of each project
- Demonstrated expertise in managing project responsibilities, including budgeting, personnel oversight, and client communication
