Are you our new Crew Payroll Controller?

OSM Thome is seeking a (1) Crew Payroll Controller to join our Crew Payroll Team in Arendal.

As a Crew Payroll Controller, you will manage payroll processes for offshore and maritime personnel. This role is ideal for candidates with strong experience in maritime payroll and an eye for detail, offering the chance to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage payroll for offshore/maritime employees, including NOR and NIS contracts.
• Ensure accurate implementation of wage scales and Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs).
• Perform monthly and yearly payroll reconciliations.
• Process payments and submit reports to Norwegian authorities for taxes and employer contributions.
• Address and resolve payroll and tax-related issues effectively.
• Stay informed on changes to local regulations and policies and communicate updates across teams.
• Provide expertise on local payroll matters in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
• 2+ years of relevant experience, preferably in maritime or offshore payroll.
• Familiarity with OCS HR is advantageous but not required.
• Knowledge of wage scales and CBAs is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and spoken English skills.
