Guidant Measurement Solutions AS is looking for a Chief Accountant to join our Accounting & Financial Control Team in Kongsberg, Norway!
As our Senior Accountant, you will ensure timely and accurate financial and management reporting in compliance with IFRS, US GAAP, and Norwegian GAAP (NGAAP). You will collaborate on the implementation of a new ERP system, contribute to project controls, and refine accounting structures. Your expertise will enhance our internal control procedures and reporting tools, playing a crucial role in the company’s success.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and ensure compliance with group reporting (US GAAP, IFRS) and statutory reporting (annual reports, VAT, SSB).
• Support internal and external audits, ensuring adherence to accounting standards.
• Manage General Ledger, VAT, and fixed asset transactions.
• Develop financial reports for analysis, forecasts, tax filings, and statutory accounts.
• Enhance internal controls and accounting procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Play a key role in the implementation and testing of a new ERP system.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize cost management and reporting.
• Analyze operational costs, revenue accruals, and deferrals for completeness and compliance.
• Contribute to short-term and long-term financial planning and reporting.

• Master’s degree in Accounting or Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
• 5+ years of experience in accounting/auditing, with strong knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP.
• Expertise in Norwegian statutory reporting, corporate tax, and VAT rules.
• Experience with SAP ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
• Proven ability to implement and utilize IT accounting and reporting tools.
• Fluent in Norwegian and English, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
