Job Description
Digital technology innovation is a key enabler to deliver on Statkraft’s high ambitions. The IT Innovation function has a specific focus on facilitating digital technology enabled innovation across the company by combining foresight on technology innovation and a structured approach to identify challenges and run innovation sprints to foster a thriving innovation culture. This involves breaking boundaries in the renewable industry, uncovering new opportunities, and enabling employees to access cutting-edge IT technologies.
Your Role
In this role, the IT Innovation advisor will explore problems, define problem statements, assess the fit of ideas with technologies, run innovation sprints, and with collaborate across Statkraft. The role will also develop best practices for innovation sprints and participate in global innovation events. We are looking for a passionate and experienced IT Innovation Advisor to join our dynamic team to drive digital technology innovation!
As an IT Innovation Advisor you will play an important role in running innovation sprints from idea to prototyping, by examining problems to be solved, understanding needs and examining solution-fit to existing and emerging technologies.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and support innovation sprints from problem-statement, ideation to prototype
- Manage planning, stands-ups, retrospectives, review, and facilitate ideation sprint for technology innovation
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify needs and discover problems, and ensure engagement and collaboration during the innovation sprints
- Provide guidance on innovation principles and governance of technology innovation
- Evaluate and report outcome of innovation sprints
- Participate in corporate innovation communities with focus on experience sharing, knowledge transfer, and cross-company collaboration
- Participate in improvement of IT Innovation Governance, way of working with innovation and training linked to this
- Strengthen a strong innovation culture through engaging in internal innovation events e.g. annual Statkraft Business for the Future Hackathon event and bi-weekly Statkraft Innovation Muffin
- Participate in external partnership collaborations, e.g. StartUpLab
Qualifications
We believe the right candidate has the following:
- Higher relevant education in business administration, innovation, business development, entrepreneurship or equivalent
- Minimum 3-5 years of working experience from innovation management and practice, having brought new products, services and/or new business models to market, preferrably in a large organisation
- Proven experience within Design Thinking, Business Modelling, Innovation Sprints, and running workshops
- Knowledge of various innovation frameworks (e.g. design thinking, idea campaigns, crowdsourcing, double diamond, innovation sprint, agile methodology, lean startup)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-culturally and engage and inspire others
- Problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to break down complex issues and bring structure to business cases
- Fluency in English (both written and verbal)
These skills would also be useful in your role:
- Industry knowledge from the energy sector
- Experience with emerging technologies such as AI/ML, Big Data and IoT
- Experience in managing IT / technology and digitalisation projects, including planning, execution and monitoring
