We aim to further develop and expand our in-house knowledge and competence in FPGA development, and we are looking for someone who can help us achieve this.
Responsibilities
- Design and Implementation: Create digital design systems and circuits using FPGA technologies.
- Testing and Verification: Test and verify the functionality of the developed FPGA designs.
- Documentation: Create technical documentation related to the design process and product.
- System Integration: Work closely with system/software engineers to integrate the FPGA design into larger systems.
- Troubleshooting: Assist in troubleshooting and resolving hardware-related issues.
- Upgrades and Improvements: Recommend upgrades and improvements for existing FPGA designs.
- Compliance: Ensure FPGA designs meet required specifications and quality standards.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver complex FPGA solutions.
Desired Qualifications
- Educational Background: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with relevant experience in FPGA design and VHDL development and -verification. VHDL development and verification is mandatory as experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in digital electronics and hardware description language like VHDL.
- Experience: Proven work experience as an FPGA Developer or in a similar role.
- Tools and Software: Familiarity with FPGA development tools and environments (e.g., Xilinx, Altera).
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Communication: Good communication skills to work effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest FPGA technologies and industry trends.
- Digital circuit design: VHDL, Quartus, Vivado, Libero
- Digital circuit verification: UVVM, VUnit, Cocotb
- Digital Signal Processing: FIR, IIR,
- Communication protocols: IPv4, Ethernet, SSP
- Interfaces: Avalon, AXI
- FPGA-based processors: ARM, Leon, SoC FPGA
Other Qualifications
- Must be able to obtain Norwegian security clearance up to HEMMELIG / NATO SECRET.
- Good Norwegian and English skills, written and spoken.
