We are looking for a Senior Buyer!

Job Description

• Carry out procurement activities in accordance with company policies, regulations, and project-specific plans.

• Develop negotiation strategies to minimize risk and optimize value.

• Identify and evaluate alternative suppliers for equipment, materials, and services.

• Prepare ITT (Invitation to Tender) documents, evaluate tenders, and conduct negotiations.

• Establish and manage supplier contracts.

• Process purchase requisitions from engineering and act as the single point of contact for supplier communications.

• Collaborate closely with various internal stakeholders such as PRE, fabrication coordinators, QHSE, cost control, and others.

• Monitor procurement reporting, ensuring all processes are auditable.

• Oversee supplier quality surveillance and ensure timely delivery of all required documentation.

• Handle Variations Orders (VORs) from suppliers, managing risk, budget, and reporting.

• Ensure proper procurement package closure, including final accounts and lessons learned activities.

• Perform other tasks as required by Project Managers and Procurement Managers.

 

Qualification Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred, although extensive experience may compensate for the lack of formal education.

• A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant procurement experience is required.

• Strong knowledge and experience in procurement processes are essential.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, are advantageous.

• Ambitious and eager to learn.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Structured and systematic approach to work.

• Analytical mindset with the ability to manage multiple complex tasks.

• Fluent in both Norwegian and English.

• Proactive, solution-oriented, and goal-driven.

• Awareness of QHSE principles.
