Product manager

Gapit Nordics is seeking an experienced and driven individual to lead product management and ensure the highest standards of product quality within our Gapit Datacenter Business Unit. This pivotal role focuses on driving the development and success of our software product portfolio, Unity and Insight, which are designed to meet the evolving needs of the datacenter industry and deliver exceptional value to our customers.

We are in the process of establishing product management as a core discipline within our organization, offering a unique opportunity to shape the function and influence the future direction of our products. This role will play a critical part in defining and executing a product strategy that aligns with both customer requirements and industry trends.

Responsibilities of the Product Manager:

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap, prioritizing features and improvements to align with business goals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, marketing, sales, and UX) to define product requirements, create documentation, and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Analyze user feedback, competitor offerings, and industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
• Take full ownership and responsibility for the success of our products, driving continuous improvement and meeting business objectives.
• Lead the product lifecycle from conception through launch, including post-launch performance tracking and optimization.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations for both SaaS and on-premise products.
• Communicate product strategy, updates, and progress to internal stakeholders and executive leadership.
• Engage with customers and stakeholders to understand their needs and identify new product opportunities, ensuring we stay ahead of the competition in datacenter solutions.

Qualifications:

• Relevant education on bachelor or masters level.
• Minimum 5 years of proven experience as a Product Manager, preferably in SaaS platforms and/or on-premise solutions.
• Strong understanding of SaaS and on-premise technologies, with knowledge of their unique challenges and opportunites.
• A solid understanding of datacenter infrastructure and the day-to-day requirements of on-site operations staff is preferred, but a strong willingness to learn and grow in this area is equally valued.
• Fluency in Norwegian and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A deep understanding of users' day-to-day interactions with the system, enabling the creation of a product strategy that truly enhances the user experience.
• Exceptional organizational skills, with a structured and proactive approach to tasks and the ability to create order and clarity.
• Positive attitude and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong product leadership capabilities, with the ability to clearly articulate goals, priorities, and technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Familiarity with basic engineering documentation, such as single-line diagrams, cable lists, and wiring diagrams, is a plus, but we also welcome candidates eager to learn these skills.
