Principal Environmental Advisor

ORLEN Upstream Norway AS is an oil and gas company that is growing and we are searching for a Principal Environmental Advisor.

In this role you will follow-up environmental and ESG issues in assets and projects to ensure company and regulatory compliance.

Duties and responsibilities

• Act as a centre of expertise for environmental issues
• Provide environmental support to all departments, assets and projects
• Develop and implement environmental strategies for assets and projects in accordance with internal and external requirements
• Cooperate with all departments to ensure sustainability in activities and processes
• Responsible for environmental applications, consents and reporting
• Coordinate ESG data collection and reporting
• Responsible for environmental and ESG processes in the Business Management System
• Participate in relevant industry fora within environment/climate/ESG
• Other relevant HSEQ tasks

Qualifications

Education

• MS degree in engineering or equivalent preferably with environmental/HSE/ESG specialty

Experience

• Minimum 10 years’ experience from HSE follow up work related to offshore operations at NCS

Language skills

• Fluency in Norwegian and English (oral and written)

Technical requirements

• In depth understanding and knowledge of Norwegian HSE regulations and relevant EU regulations

Personal qualities

• Team player with strong relationship building skills across different disciplines
• Strong sense of responsibility and ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision
• Good sense for details and quality
• Ability to adapt to a changing environment
