Job Role Overview

As IT Project Manager in Horizon56, you will be part of the Operations Team where you will be working closely with our Project managers and Support team to ensure a successful startup. Your main task as IT Project manager is to engage with our customers to ensure successful deployment and managing the IT integration of the Horizon56 software applications. You will be reporting to the Chief Operations Officer.

You will be working with a team of Digital Operations Engineers with a heavy offshore operational background as well as Support Engineers with in depth knowledge of our software solutions. We have a flat, low-key and fun working environment, where tasks can change at a fast pace.

Job Role Responsibilities

·      Early client engagement, setting up project plan and timeline for IT deployment

·      Coordinate with Customers (operators and drilling contractors) following up on delivery and expectations from all parties. Highlight potential challenges and how to solve these.

·      Define and implement technical requirements for the infrastructure in coordination with clients.

·      Oversee the installation of technology solutions offshore

·      Specify and drive setup of data collection source.

·      Design Cloud architecture

·      Network drawings, zones and conduits

·      Write documentation and guidelines.

·      Continuously work on optimizing how Horizon56 drive deploy activities

 Required qualifications and experience

We expect you to hold a degree in Engineering or similar, preferably in a related area such as automation, network, IT, electrical or similar. Furthermore, you come with a minimum of 5 years of work experience. The ideal candidate has a background in the O&G industry working with support or implementation. More specifically, we are looking for the following competencies:

·      A proactive attitude with high sense of urgency to follow up on delivery

·      Competence and previous experience within implementation of new technology.

·      Great project management skills

·      Related engineering experience e.g. Software, IT Services, Hardware in an international environment.

·      Articulate in English (both written and verbal)

·      Confidence in leading meetings and other related group activities

·      Beneficial with Azure Cloud Solutions

·      Beneficial with Network and Cloud solutions topography.

·      Offshore experience required

Working Location

Preferably, the candidate should be based in the Stavanger Norway area, but we are open to considering alternative locations for the right candidate.

Additionally, there may be occasional requests for the employee to travel to other locations for business purposes to meet clients, plan deployment activities or collaborate internally in Horizon56.
