NBIM is looking for an Analyst in the Valuations team!
Do you want to work with valuation and analytics in the biggest sovereign wealth fund in the world, together with highly skilled people in Oslo, Singapore, and New York? Do you want to join an Operations team that sits at the heart of the fund’s core processes and pioneers the use of cloud technology and programming languages to find the most efficient way of supporting our investments? As the successful applicant you will be part of a team responsible for the daily valuation of fixed income and equity asset classes as well as overall net asset value for the fund. You will work closely with internal teams to implement and maintain robust operational processes supporting the management of the portfolio.

You will contribute to a good working relationship with internal teams to ensure requirements are captured and implemented, including the quarterly reporting to NBIM’s leader group.
The position is in Oslo and will report to the Head of Valuation. Some travel should be expected.
What you will do
This is a collaborative environment conducive to working on some of the following tasks:
- Work hands on with the overall market value of the fund and ongoing performance and attribution
- Oversee quality assurance processes for Fixed Income Analytics data, ensuring accuracy and reliability of financial data inputs and outputs
- Manage and maintain Fixed Income Performance Attribution models, including model validation, calibration, and ongoing enhancement to ensure optimal performance and accuracy
- Contribute to the development of internal tools and models using the latest available technology including cloud-based services
- Champion and drive forward the development of the team’s function with a focus on automation
What you need
- Master's degree with strong academic records
- 2 – 5 years’ experience from asset management is desirable but not a requirement. Newly graduated candidates with a strong academic record are encouraged to apply
- Candidates with a pure technical background will be considered given a demonstrated motivation for working with financial instruments and valuation
- Strong programming and IT development skills, with proficiency in languages such as Python, SQL, VBA, or similar technologies
