We are seeking a motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Payroll and HR Manager. This role is critical in ensuring our company operates smoothly and effectively, particularly in the realms of payroll processing and contribute within human resources management.
Key Responsibilities of Payroll and HR Manager- Manage and process payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Lead Payroll reconciliation and contribute in financial reporting efforts.
- Maintain and update payroll records, ensuring compliance with legal, company, and tax reporting requirements.
- Support the finance team with ad hoc accounting and financial tasks as needed.
- Participate and take ownership of monthly, quarterly and yearly reporting within your domain, including closings and quality control.
- Implement and refine payroll and HR policies and procedures to align with organizational goals.
- Ad hoc HR tasks, including contributing to onboarding of new employees within the field of Payroll processes and HR.
- Provide guidance and support to management and employees regarding payroll and HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
Qualifications and Preferred Skills
The ideal candidate for this role will bring a combination of the following qualifications and skills:
- A degree in Business Administration, Accounting, HR or a related field. Experience can make up for lack of formal background.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in payroll and human resources management.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and multitasking abilities.
- Strong communication skills in both English and Norwegian.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Certification or extensive experience in payroll, accounting or similar in an international environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with Unit4, Xledger, Simployer or similar systems.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- A proactive approach to identifying and solving Payroll/Finance - related challenges.
