About the position
We are looking for a new team member to support our growth and development. The ideal candidate will be a global logistics expert with strong IT skills and a proven track record in handling supply chain processes effectively. The role offers a mix of hands-on operational tasks, including daily logistics operations, especially shipments subject to customs clearances, along with contributions to process improvements and logistics-related projects.
In this position, you will monitor KPIs and track costs to ensure efficient logistics operations while developing and integrating value-added services for customers. As a super user of our ERP and other IT platforms, you will focus on optimizing work processes, automating tasks, and maintaining master data to enhance efficiency and ensure shipments arrive smoothly to the customer without delay in transit or import clearance.
You will have daily interactions with business partners in Europe and the US, and occasionally in Asia. This role is part of the operational logistics team and reports directly to the Logistics Manager.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics/Supply Chain, or Engineering with a specialization in Supply Chain
- Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience with a proven record within the field
- Fluency in English is a requirement
- Experience within customs clearance and classification is a plus
- Knowledge related to logistics operations within US, Canada or Asia/Pacific
- Ideally have a background from one of the bigger courier companies or shipping companies
To succeed in this role you have experience in air or road freight forwarding or consultancy within the supply chain field. You have a passion for supply chain management, are a committed team player, and pay attention to detail. You approach challenges with an open mind to find solutions.
