Assistant Vice President, PD/Hull Claims, Skuld Energy

Skuld Energy is now searching for an experienced Claims Handler for our head office in Oslo. In this role you will handle claims within all aspects of Energy related Property Damage (PD), Hull & Machinery, Loss of hire and other associated insurances.

As an Assistant Vice President, Claims, you will be part of a world leading marine insurance provider where service and competence is key. Your responsibilities will be to:

• Actively monitor the claims process and identify areas of improvement
• Handle all types of Energy PD and Hull claims, including but not limited to groundings, collisions, salvage cases, machinery damages, recourse claims etc.
• Work closely with Skuld colleagues across departments
• Prepare and issue adjustments.
• Monitor statistical trends on claims performance and take appropriate measures to correct negative trends
• Develop long- and short term goals
• Continuously monitor Assureds' claims performance and ensure effective reporting of relevant and useful information to Head of Skuld Energy and Underwriting team
• Initiate and take part of marketing activities together with Head of Skuld Energy and the Underwriting team

Relevant qualifications:

• Experience with Energy PD and H&M claims handling and adjusting
• Naval Architect
• Sea faring experience
• Marine technical knowledge
• Familiarity with Maritime Law
• Excellent English communication and presentation skills
