Principal Engineer Machinery

Duties and responsibilities
We are looking for an experienced Principal Engineer with experience from the maritime industry to join our department. In this role, you will be the technical lead of the team together with our two other Principal Engineers, using your broad experience to oversee and guide our projects in a good and efficient way. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor our engineers and lead the design and development of complex machinery systems.
- Project coordination and/or execution
- Communicate with internal teams, clients, and suppliers to ensure clear understanding of project requirements
- System design and engineering
- Equipment integration
- Mentor engineers
- Involvement in department improvements and process development
- Participation in special projects and/or system design for new and complex technologies
Qualifications
- Bsc or Msc ship design / mechanical engineer/ product development
- Good knowledge in English language, both oral and written
- 8-10 years of relevant work experience
- Experienced in rules and regulations related to ship design and ship building
- Experience from management / project management positions is beneficial
