Join us as our new Site Manager at our biggest international project!
We are going to develop a next-generation facility in Japan. At this facility we will produce antibiotic- and vaccine-free Atlantic salmon and sustainable pet nutrition, all while minimizing environmental impact through advanced RAS technology. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead on-site operations in Tsu City in Japan and collaborate with international teams driving innovation in sustainable aquaculture.
The position:
The position will be situated in Japan following our project for a period of up to three years. You will work and live in Japan during the whole project period. The job holder must be able to obtain a valid work permit for the duration of the project.
Your role:
The Site Manager is responsible for overseeing the execution and progress of construction and assembly projects, ensuring they align with the established plans, specifications, and relevant documentation. The role requires strong organizational and leadership skills, effective communication, and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders, including clients, consultants, contractors, and on-site personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Education within technical disciplines and/or RAS disciplines
- Follow up on the execution of the project's assembly according to drawings, project descriptions, and relevant documentation.
- Ensure the project's implementation is within the agreed schedule/progress plan
- Actively ensure clear communication and good collaboration between workers under PSTech's management and our partners on the construction site
- Coordinate and follow up on hired personnel and subcontractors, focusing on quality, time, and cost (during and after delivery), HSE requirements, and valid documentation of workers present on-site, in accordance with the provisions of the Working Environment Act regarding working hours
- Take responsibility for keeping the project manager informed of the status of the construction site at all times
- Document assembly and execution using relevant checklists
- The site manager will be performing equipment inspections on arrival at site- following up installation checks
- Coordinating between logistical teams, storage facilities and installation teams.
Qualifications:
- Education within technical disciplines and/or RAS disciplines
- Technical understanding is a must.
- Aquaculture project and/or site management experience
- Fluent in English and good Nordic language skills, both oral and written. English will be the main working language in the project
- Experience with the Asian markets is preferable
