As HSSE Lead Fabrication, do you want to solve tough challenges for the global energy industry?
As Aker Solutions’ global recruitment partner NES Advantage is now looking for: HSSE Lead Fabrication with experience in onshore or offshore projects.
The project is led from Stord.
Aker Solutions’ New Build segment delivers oil & gas and renewables offshore developments and fabrication products, mainly focused on the Norwegian Continental Shelf and selective international markets. The segment is responsible for large EPCI projects, both within oil and gas and renewables, including business development and project execution, typically large topsides including fixed or floating substructures, onshore facilities, FPSOs offshore wind HVDC topside and jackets, offshore aquaculture floaters and decommissioning and recycling.
What will you be doing?
- Intervene and, if necessary, stop all work that poses an immediate danger to personnel, material/production and the environment.
- Carry out measurements of fire/explosives and chemical/hazardous gases and issue work certificates after such measurements.
- Challenge, give advice and support the line in the HSSE work.
- Assist line management and safety delegates in HSSE cases and actively contribute to ensuring a constructive interaction between these.
- Assist the line management with SJA, marking escape routes, marking areas and tanks, hanging up posters, internal information, etc.
- Check that first aid kit and fire extinguishing equipment are intact and in the right place.
- Report observations and incidents in Synergi.
- Participate in discussions about follow-up and development of subcontractors, regardless of project.
- Be an advisor in the field of HSSE.
- Assist with requests or contact the line in case of identified areas for improvement.
- Contribute with input, advice and information about current HSSE requirements and when special/new HSSE requirements are made applicable.
- Participate in and carry out risk analyses during major operations or on request.
- Participate in and carry out audits as a HSSE auditor towards subcontractors/suppliers when applicable.
- Participate in the preparation and execution of HSSE-related course activities.
- Participate in updating HSSE handbook and governing HSSE documents.
- Participate in HSSE networks at your company.
- Assist the HSSE Manager for the yard in mapping and carrying out the HSSE work at the company.
- Make their expertise and capacity available where the company and the HSSE manager for the yard consider it most important and needed.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of HSSE activities at the construction site.
- Quality awareness and continuous improvement of work processes, products and on a personal level shall always be in focus.
Qualifications we think you should have:
- HSSE experience is required.
- Broad professional education and training/courses within HSSE.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements, relevant NS, ISO and NORSOK.
- Qualifications to carry out gas measurements.
- Fluent in both Norwegian and English - verbally and in writing.
- Knowledge of software tools (Synergy, Chess, SPS, IT etc).
- Skills in Microsoft Office.
- Good collaboration skills.
- Proactiv approach and good communication skills.
