We are growing and are therefore looking for more Patent Attorneys. 

Håmsø Patentbyrå has a long history that started in 1950. In 2019, we became a partner-owned company and have made several changes that have resulted in strong results. We are still experiencing increasing demand and also see several opportunities in the market that we want to seize. To make this happen, we need go-getters who are looking for something more than the status quo, who want continuous improvement and development on all levels – personally and for our company, the industry and our clients. 

We have an office in Stavanger, and last year we also opened an office in Oslo, but we work with clients all over Norway and internationally.  

You will be part of a strong professional team where quality and client satisfaction are given the highest priority. Our team is international, with qualified and certified attorneys from the UK, Denmark and Portugal, and of course also qualified European Patent Attorneys. 

We have a large and diverse portfolio of exciting clients who are leaders in technology development in their respective industries, including oil and gas, renewable energies, IT, electronics, aquaculture and agriculture. You should therefore have a technical background in e.g. mechanics, physics, electronics or IT, but you can also work across disciplines. The work tasks typically include drafting and prosecuting patent applications, handling oppositions, etc., as well as advising on IP strategy in general. In dispute cases and when IP legal assistance is otherwise needed, we collaborate with leading law firms. 

Your personal qualities are crucial. You must be available and service-minded towards clients and colleagues. At the same time, you must be good at managing client relationships and be able to communicate complicated issues in an understandable way. As a Patent Attorney, you will occasionally experience high work pressure, and we emphasize strong execution ability. You should be able to work independently while enjoying collaboration and being part of a team.
