What does the job involve?
FLX - a lighthouse for the future on the NCS!
Equinor's ambition is to become a leading late-phase operator on the Norwegian continental shelf. Safe and efficient operation of late-phase fields will be important for the company going forward. This is to secure Equinor's position and competitiveness on the continental shelf. To achieve this, we have to look at new ways of working, and this is the reason why Equinor established Equinor FLX (Field Life extension).
What will my tasks be?
Within this position, your key tasks will be to:
- Contribute towards Equinor becoming a leading late-life operator on the NCS.
- Contribute to, and test new ways of working.
- Work interdisciplinary, and close with offshore personnel and suppliers.
- Systematically improve inspection management for the unit.
- Coordinate inspection activities and secure good cost follow-up.
- Follow-up and document technical integrity.
- Contribute to continuous improvement to ensure that FLX delivers on its ambitions.

- A Bachelor's or Master’s Degree within relevant field, such as Corrosion, mechanical, material technology etc. Relevant experience may compensate for formal qualifications.
- Minimum 5 years or more experience inspecting pipes and static processing equipment.
- Experience in establishing and maintaining preventive inspection programs.
- Knowledge of Material technology and technical integrity evaluation will be an advantage.
- Previous experience of supporting offshore operations within the NCS.
- Experience in contributing to improving corrosion management through inspection reporting on platform systems.
- Experience within the use of risk-based inspection methods in line with relevant specifications.
- Good communication skills in English and Norwegian/Scandinavian (written and spoken).
