Your Impact:
In this role, you will be Aibel’s expert on all corporate insurance matters, ensuring the company has the right coverage, reflecting Aibel’s business, contracts and projects. You will play a key role in assessing risk, structuring insurance policies, and providing legal guidance on insurance-related issues across Aibel’s operations.
As part of the Legal Team, you will combine legal expertise with a deep understanding of insurance, supporting contract negotiations, claims handling, and corporate insurance strategies. Responsibilities and Tasks Include:
- Overall responsibility for management and administration of Aibel’s global insurance programs, including assessing scope and manner of insurances.
- Conduct risk assessment and provide legal advice on insurance matters in tenders, during contract negotiations, and towards projects under execution.
- Ensure compliance with applicable insurance requirements across Aibel’s operations.
- Act as Aibel’s key advisor on global insurances, such as liability, property, transport, financial lines, etc.
- Manage the relationship with Aibel’s global insurance broker.
- Plan and execute all Global insurance tenders and all broker tenders, including cooperating with HR related to personnel insurances.
- Collect and prepare underwriting information in connection with insurance renewals.
- Handle insurance claims and disputes, working closely with external brokers, insurers, and internal stakeholders.
- Provide training and guidance on insurance-related risks and compliance.
- Support general legal matters within the Legal Team, including contract law, compliance, and corporate governance.
Qualifications:
- Law degree from a recognized university.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in insurance law, contract law, or relevant legal advisory roles.
- Strong knowledge of global insurance markets, policies, and risk management.
- Experience with insurance claims handling, negotiations, and compliance.
- Industry experience from energy, infrastructure, or large-scale engineering projects is an advantage.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work strategically and proactively in a complex risk environment.
