Join us as our new Human Resources and Payroll responsible 

We are looking for an experienced and passionate new colleague to join our Human Resources team. You will manage our payroll process for all employees in Norway, in addition to working with other HR processes. You will join a dynamic Human Resources team at Skuld, a world-leading marine insurance provider headquartered in Oslo.

Your Role 

You will play a key role in Skuld facilitating our compensation and benefits programs, including being responsible for payroll for all employees in Norway. Additionally, you will take on HR tasks based on your experience and interests, and the tasks for this position will be divided approximately between 50% payroll and 50% HR tasks.  

You will collaborate closely with the Chief People Officer on HR matters and work with our finance and accounting teams on payroll issues 

Key Responsibilities 

• Payroll Management: Administer the full payroll process for all employees in Norway, with hands-on management of salary administration 
• Insurance and Pension Administration: Manage insurance and pension schemes for employees in Norway and expats in other Skuld locations. 
• Employee Relations: Handle employee relations and follow-up activities globally. 
• Absence Management: Manage absence for Oslo and Bergen offices and oversee the self-managed absence system. 
• HR Tools Superuser: Be the go-to expert for relevant HR tools. 
• Salary and Bonus Processes: Lead the annual salary adjustment and bonus processes. 
• HR Support: Provide active support for leaders and teams. 
• HR Processes and Tools: Develop, implement, and secure effective HR processes and tools. 
• Personnel Handbook: Maintain and update the personnel handbook and stay current on employee regulations.  

About You

Qualifications 

• Relevant education in HR, payroll, or accounting. 
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll management, along with extensive HR experience, preferably in an international setting 
• Attention to detail and a conscientious approach to responsibilities. 
• Ability to work independently and make decisions within an agreed framework. 
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trustworthy relationships. 
• Excellent communication skills in English and Norwegian. 
• Proficiency with standard HR and payroll software, with the ability to manage systems independently.
