Mission Alliance is seeking a dynamic and visionary Country Director for Liberia to lead our dedicated team of locally hired staff and drive the implementation of our new global strategy. In this role, you will oversee an expanding program portfolio, working closely with local partners to create sustainable change and advance our mission. 

Your role: 

• Strategic leadership and daily operations of the country office 
• Responsible for the growth, quality, and further development of our program work 
• Securing new funding and fostering innovation 
• Ensuring financial management and compliance, including efforts against corruption 
• Representing Mission Alliance locally by building relationships and networks with partners, other organizations, potential donors, and the private sector 

As Country Director at Mission Alliance, you will be part of a team of Country Directors globally and report directly to the International Director in Oslo. We are looking for a leader who is motivated to represent a Christian organization and our mission to combat poverty and promote justice. 

Your profile: 

• Proven leadership experience, preferably in cross-cultural teams 
• Experience in long-term development work or other international roles 
• Competence in working with partner organizations and churches 
• Familiarity with civil society work, diaconia, and Norwegian development policy 
• Strong financial understanding and experience with grant management or institutional donors 
• Relevant higher education, preferably in social sciences, international relations/development, economics, or similar fields

• Strategic mindset and strong analytical skills 
• Structured and action-oriented 
• Ability to inspire others and lead teams toward shared goals 
• Good communication and collaboration skills

Envoy for Mission Alliance:  

You can be employed as an envoy from Mission Alliance. In this role, you’ll serve as a vital link between our supporters in Norway and our work internationally. Both spouses may be considered for employment, each with their own set of responsibilities.
