Exciting Opportunity for a Control Engineer in Project Management!

Job Description

• Lead the planning and execution of SAS system modifications (PCS, PSD, F&G), including subsystem modifications, field instrumentation, and procurement follow-up.
• Develop and maintain the SAS system modification schedule, aligning it with project timelines and documentation.
• Monitor control system development, evaluate risks, and implement mitigation actions to ensure timely delivery.
• Ensure all project activities comply with regulatory, contract, and safety requirements, focusing on personnel, environmental, and equipment safety.
• Collaborate with PDE operations and regulatory teams to ensure clarity on work scope, including life extension activities for control and field instrumentation.
• Review and approve design documents, including instrument datasheets, C&E diagrams, and specifications.
• Participate in design reviews, safety studies (HAZID/HAZOP), and resolve any design gaps.
• Monitor contractor activities in control engineering, ensuring compliance with project, regulatory, and contract requirements.
• Support mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities, reporting any delays or design issues to the EICT Lead.
• Coordinate with various disciplines and provide technical oversight for procurement packages.
• Ensure lessons learned are shared with the project team.

 

Qualification Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Control Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in Control Engineering, with a focus on offshore projects, preferably FPSO.
• Experience with modification projects and FPSO redeployment is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with UK compliance and ABB control systems is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
