Meeting & Event Analyst
Do you love complex puzzles and spent hours and hours with legos as a child? Optimising conferences is a little like that. We are looking for a bright mind to help drive our Meeting & Events analytics, pricing and structure to the next level.
A new opportunity for a creative person that sees opportunities where others don't. We look for you with experience and knowledge from working with Meeting & Event operations, and know what it takes to identify and close sales opportunities. You are commercially driven, have an eye for detail and can lead projects and initiatives on your own or as a part of a team.
As an "analyst" working with our whole portfolio, you will focus on analysing the sales & profit margin for the Meeting & Event segment. You will together with your colleagues in the profit department generate sustainable long-term profits and contribute with structure on pricing and working tools to further develop the meeting & event revenue & profitability.
The position is employed at Strawberry´s head office in Oslo or Stockholm, but location within Scandinavia can be discussed for the right candidate. The position as "business analyst" will involve some travelling, and you will work within "Business Operation" in the profit department, and report to the Director of Business Operation.
Key responsibilities
- Structure pricing models for Meeting & Event within profit and for sales.
- Provide & maintain reports & do ad hoc analysis, with focus on meeting & event.
- Support the profit department in optimizing all revenue streams.
- Cost margin analysis and pricing for Rooms, Meetings and Events.
- Coordinate pricing for sales across destinations.
- Function space setup and management.
- Analysis, forecasting, benchmarking and reporting.
- Be involved in the commercial strategy towards M&E for the Profit department.
Education/qualifications
- Bachelor´s degree in economics, finance or hospitality management. Relevant experience from a similar role within sales or Revenue Management may compensate.
- Experience from Revenue Management or M&E pricing strategies preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and comfortable using data to diagnose problems, as well as to find ways to improve business.
- You have experience from analytical tools and visualisation programs.
- Deep understanding of sales & function space management and hotel operations.
- Self driven as well as ability to work independently as well as within a team.
- Strong communications skills, written and verbal.
