We are currently looking for a Senior Mechanical Development Engineer to join our team in Stavanger or Oslo, Norway. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in subsea processing to contribute to various stages of project development, from tender preparation to final installation and testing. 

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will develop new products and solutions through technology development, delivery projects, services, concept studies, FEED studies, and joint industry projects (JIP). In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality mechanical designs and technical documentation while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure innovation and efficiency in our projects. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop or further develop new subsea technologies.
• Contribute to sales and product commercialization of new products, systems and services.
• Close cooperation with project management and other product development engineers
• Create and maintain project documentation and drawings.
• Communicate with our Customers. 
• Cooperate effectively with the other SPS departments on services and problem solving. 
• Participate in the improvement of NOV products and services, including novel ideas. 
• Ensure quality in services and products including adherence to client specification and design methodologies.

Qualifications, Experiences and Skills

• Bachelor's or Master`s degree
• Engineering degree in Mechanical disciplines.
• At least 5 years’ experience within the subsea oil and gas industry. 
• Relevant experience could compensate for lack of education.
• Lead roles in product design projects
• 3D CAD, preferably Autodesk Inventor
• Analysis / Simulation Tools
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, in English is required; knowledge of Norwegian is an advantage.
• An exceptional ability to understand, evaluate and apply technical information.
• Ability to understand the strategic direction of new subsea technology.
• Natural ability to provide colleagues with the information they need to complete their tasks and eliminate roadblocks.
