Aker Solutions, through NES Advantage, is on the lookout for a Senior Safety & Environment Technical Safety Engineer to join our team in Stavanger. We handle energy assets from start to finish, ensuring safe operations, optimizing utilization, and extending field life. And with the global shift towards decarbonization, we’re at the forefront of helping our customers reduce their emissions and electrify offshore facilities. Plus, we’re gearing up to support offshore renewables—exciting times ahead!

What’s the Job?

You’ll be responsible for planning and executing technical safety deliverables in projects. Some of your key tasks will include:

• Developing and updating safety philosophies and strategies.
• Designing and engineering safety systems, area classification, ignition source control, and fire & gas detection systems.
• Preparing safety documents, risk assessments, and technical reviews (HAZID, ALARP assessments, etc.).
• Providing procurement support and supplier follow-ups.
• Supporting Functional Safety/SIL activities and verifications.

What We’re Looking For:

• MSc, BSc, Technical College, or relevant experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in technical safety engineering (preferably in Norwegian Oil & Gas or a similar field).
• Deep knowledge of Norwegian regulations, including NORSOK S-001.
• Strong communication skills in Norwegian and English.
• A proactive, hands-on approach—teamwork is key, but independence is valued!
• Availability to work in Norway.
